Let me get this straight-most Americans claim to be Christian, but the culture of America is not Christian. The solution, have Christians take over.

Newsflash: the Christian majority does run the country.

May I suggest that the Americans who “claim to be Christian” ought to work on the logs in their own eyes and start living lives that Christ might have approved of before they go after the mote in my eye?

This is so disgusting. I don’t try to stop people like him from having his beliefs nor do I tell him what I personally think about his beliefs. He’s free to have them. What he is not free to do, however, is try to push me out of the way or get the government to discriminate against me based on my beliefs. He does not have a right to have his beliefs made into law that I then have to live by.

Why is a fanatic like Barton allowed to shape what schools teach? And someone please tell me what the ideological difference between Barton is and a fundamentalist Muslim is because I am not seeing much. I see a guy who sees everyone who does not share his worldview as an enemy of his God.

It’s gotten so bad that there are many so-called Christians I would have to refuse to eat with. They are awful, hopeless, arrogant hypocrites; the very image of the people that Jesus most condemned when here on earth.

Rest assured that there remain many followers of Christ fully capable of separating our religious views from political ones, and also recognize that even a brief reading of the Bible shows that the God revealed there is concerned far more with how we treat the poor, despised, and oppressed than how well we “take control of the culture.”

I am fully confident that Barton and his ilk, despite their loud clamoring of his name, will be greeted with “I never knew you.”
